The Convento de Mértola, Portugal, promotes experimental research between art, science and education on integrative technologies and practices of past, present and future human ecology.
We provide residencies for professionals in many cultural and scientific fields who want to re-tune and concentrate on their work.
Our residents are emerging and established artists, designers, authors, musicians, filmmakers, teachers and scientists who use the Convento to work, study, start a new body of work, finish a project or develop new ideas.
We are a nonprofit, non governmental organization that focuses on new ways to sensitize and re-connect artists, creatives and scholars to biodiversity while facilitating cosmopolitan, interdisciplinary network possibilities and the sharing of knowledge.
